NBA loses last scrap of credibility

NBA referee Tim Donaghy made repeated phone calls to a second referee, Scott Foster, at the same time he provided inside information to professional gamblers. I it has also come out that players and coaches also have the phone numbers of referees. The top former top NBA referees have come out on ESPN stating that the NBA has lost all credibility. It's not just David Stern's complete lack of integrity. They invite players and coaches to their golf tournaments, bring cookies to a coach (and not the opposing coach - what kind of message does that send?), and ask players for their autographs and shoes.

You'd have to say that today, the NBA's integrity and reputation lies in the same neighborhood as the WWF, attorneys and used car salesmen.
